Summer McGee, Ph.D.,CPH, Dean of the School of Health Science, the University of New Haven.
Founding Dean of the newly formed School of Health Sciences, Dr. McGee is shaping health professions education for the 21st century with a focus on systems thinking, evidence-based decision-making and professionalism. She’s a scholar in public health, bioethics, and healthcare management, specifically public health ethics, healthcare policy, and population health management.
Dr. McGee is also an expert in academic strategic planning and new program development, higher education operations management, and curriculum design at the graduate level.
She has extensive experience in academic publishing, scholarly writing, and editing. Dr. McGee also has expertise in management and oversight of academic journals, as well as significant knowledge of clinical trials, research ethics, empirical research and study design.
Colleen A. McGuire, co-founder and CEO of Silver Fern Healthcare, LLC
Collen is passionate about healthcare reform and creating valuable, patient-centered tools to address the unmet needs of people with chronic diseases and improve health outcomes. She has a long-term track record for developing and growing best-in-class organizations, outperforming revenue growth targets, and turning around under-performing businesses to produce substantial, sustainable financial results.
Colleen has 35+ years of business experience and an MBA earned at Harvard Business School in Boston. She’s held senior P&L leadership positions in large public financial service companies and been a consultant to executive leadership teams in large and small companies.
Before founding Silver Fern, Colleen was the Executive Director of the University of Connecticut’s Graduate Business Learning Center and a lecturer in the Business School’s Marketing and Management Departments. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Chapter of Conscious Capitalism as well as on the Board of Directors, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.
